Teen Murder Mystery

Join us for a dinner party and mystery. It’ll be up to you to solve the crime. Prowl the stacks, hunt for clues, unveil the truth… and you just might apprehend the culprit before he or she strikes again. Costumes welcome, but not required. This year’s theme is the Roaring 20s. This program is for ages 12-18 only.

Escape Room Challenge

Experience an escape room challenge inspired by this year's Young Readers League book. Work with your teammates to solve the puzzles and unlock the clues to your own escape. For ages 12-14. Call the Children's Room to register for a time slot (either 4pm or 5pm). 626-744-4066, option 4.

An Afternoon with Author Varian Johnson Saturday, November 23, 3pm Pasadena Central Library, Auditorium Meet Varian Johnson, author of The Parker Inheritance, this year's Young Readers League selection. Have your book signed. Join in activities and games. Enjoy photo opportunities and win prizes. The winners of the art and writing contests will also be announced. For all ages. Review by Nina Dinan, age 16 Polo Tate arrived at the U.S. Air Force Academy with a mentality that fed off challenges. She was a highly successful student-athlete who quickly rose to the physical and mental demands of the academy. She was also no stranger to tragedy, having suffered great personal loss as a child.
