Storytime Days and Times Vary

Tuesday, March 6, 4-5pm Put on your detective caps and join us at the Grass Valley Library for an hour of investigation. Learn how police and scientists work together to solve crimes and try your hand at solving a library mystery.

Wednesday, March 7, 10:30-11am Join us for an extra special Storytime with a special guest from 211 and the Ready to Grow Program. We have a specialist joining us to answer any questions parents may have about their child's development and connect them to a number of local services to help them succeed. This informal program will still have plenty of songs, books, and early literacy tips for babies and toddlers ages birth-3.

Thursday, March 8, 11-11:30am Join us for an extra special Storytime with a special guest from 211 and the Ready to Grow Program. Parents should feel free to ask about a wide variety of topics as our expert is prepared to discuss everything they can about raising happy and healthy children. This is a Storytime that is open to all, and formulated for kids with sensory processing issues. There will be lots of fun playing with our senses, reading a book, singing songs, and of course a bean bag parade!

Engineering for Kids (MH) Engineering for Kids is ready to inspire the next generation of engineers! Class is for ages 7-12. Size is limited so sign ups are required. Come and learn while having fun!

Family Night: A Wrinkle in Time (MH) Thursday, March 22, 5:30-6:30pm Family Nights are for you and your family (or chosen family) to come together and celebrate some of your favorite books. A Wrinkle in Time the movie comes out this week. Let's practice time traveling and defeating evil! No registration necessary.

March 7, 4:15-5:30pm Let's draw! All ages and skill sets welcome. March's focus will be on a still life, with a table set up for adults and another for children.

March 16, 5:30-6:30pm A Young Adult Book Club for grownups? There are tons of adults avidly reading YA novels and nonfiction, and now there's a book club for them! Book discussion is at Brew Bakers, 209 W Main Street in Downtown Grass Valley. March's book is, "Crossing Ebenezer Creek" by Tonya Bolden.

Enjoy an afternoon with sourdough, tea and door prizes. This book discussion is something of a science cafe and book club hybrid and is made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Don't miss the chance to talk with our local science partner about the art of baking and the peculiar starter depicted in the novel, "Sourdough."
