KIDS

Tech for Kids: Dash and Dot

Wednesday, February 20, 4pm (GV)
Dash and Dot are robots that can sense, act and think! Students use block coding on four different iPad apps to control their robots. Part of our Technology Lending Library. No registration necessary. Ages 5 and up.
Stay and Play (GV)
Thursdays at 10am
Calling all grandparents, nannies, aunts and uncles, and all other caregivers! Each session will feature a Storytime, snacks, and an opportunity to learn together. Once a month a guest speaker will come to discuss topics surrounding childcare and answer any questions you have. 
Monthly Maker Challenge: Pop-up Cards (GV)
Tuesday, February 12, 4pm
This month we will be creating Pop-up Greeting Cards to give to our loved ones! Come make something special. 
No registration required. Ages 5-12.
Fancy Nancy Tea Party (MH)
Thursday, February 14, 3pm
Get fancy with us! We'll have "tea" (applejuice) and fancy snacks, fancy activities and crafts and a Fancy Nancy readaloud. Wear your fanciest look.
All ages welcome and no registration necessary.

TEENS

Teen Tuesdays (BR)
Tuesdays at 4pm
Meet each week for a different, fun activity. We'll do crafts, retro projects, tech, and life skills programs. 
Otaku Club (GV)
Thursdays at 4pm
A weekly program for manga and anime fans to eat snacks, debate their favorites, and make stuff. 
Sugar Overload Competition (GV)
Wednesday, February 13, 4pm
Calling all teens! Do you dream of winning your cake and eating it too? Do you have a need for sweets? Then you might have what it takes to win the Sugar Overload Competition! Join us for a number of sugar-themed competitions to make your sweet tooth sing.
Volun-Teens: Cards for Kids (GV)
Tuesday, February 26, 4pm
Make greeting cards for kids in need. Everyone will have a chance to give back by creating cards to be donated to children's hospitals. Have fun, make friends, and do good!

ADULTS
Looking for something to do? There are tons of programs on our online calendar.
Ukulele for the People (MH)
Second & Fourth Mondays, 10am
Join us for our Beginning Ukulele Class/Jam Session. Participants are encouraged to bring their own ukulele. 10 loaner ukuleles will be available first come first serve.  
POV Film Screening (MH)
Friday, February 8, 4pm
Listening Is an Act of Love features six stories from 10 years of the innovative oral history project. Two guest speakers will share their personal stories following the 30 minute film. 
Nevada County Reads Kick-off:
Foothill Storytelling Guild (MH)
Saturday, February 9, 10am
Four speakers from the Foothill Storytelling Guild will help launch Nevada County Reads & Writes 2019. They will share tips and tricks on how to tell a great story as well as telling amazing stories of their own.
HeritageQuest: Discover Your Family History (TR)
Monday, February 25, 4:30pm
We will be searching through US census records, books, periodicals, Revolutionary War service records, and Freedman's ban depositor records to discover family history in this database.
