Thursday, May 2, 3pm Join us as we say goodbye to our beautiful pergola. It served us well but it must go! Write or draw your favorite library memory on the old wood pergola.

Monday, May 13, 4:30pm Sami Steigmann is a motivational speaker, Holocaust Survivor, and docent at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, a Living Memorial to the Holocaust. Sami is passionate about his role in sharing a fresh perspective on hope, life, and faith. Come hear his story.

Saturday, May 18, 10am Stop in and enjoy the eclectic and colorful art of local artists: Osborn & Woods. More than 18 pieces of art will be on display, as well as historical information on these two artists that created a renaissance in Nevada County in the 1970s.

A special health fair highlighting community resources for mental wellness. The Library will host representatives from a variety of local non-profit and county-based mental health and support resources, as well as giveaways and fun hands-on activities. Relax, explore, chat, listen, and create as you learn about all of the wonderful resources our community has to offer.

Holy geektastic combination, Batman! It's Free Comic Book Day and Star Wars Day! Stop by the Bear River Library for a photo booth, make your own comics, and more geeky fun.

Magnet Mania (GV)Tuesday, May 7, 4pmHave you ever wondered what makes magnets work? What is magnetic? Well then come learn about everything magnets! All participants will get a chance to engage in some hands on learning. Ages 5 and up. No registration required.

Saturday, May 25, 10:30am Join us at the Truckee Library as we sing, read, play, and learn together. Families will get a chance to participate in a bilingual storytime and then read together as a group. With lots of songs, stories, and toys this once a month program promises to be a fun event for the whole family. All ages welcome. No registration necessary.

Tuesdays at 4pm Meet each week for a different, fun activity. We'll do crafts, retro projects, tech, and life skills programs.

Thursdays at 4pm A weekly program for manga and anime fans to eat snacks, debate their favorites, and make stuff.

Screenagers Viewing (MH)Thursday, May 9, 5:30pmScreenagers is about the impact of the digital age on children and how to help families minimize harmful effects and find balance. Free screening with a short discussion to follow. Raffle prizes for attendees! Ages 8th grade and up, plus adults.

Your Teen Advisory Group presents: this spring's Teen Lockin! Teens in grades 8-12 are welcome to visit The Underworld with us. Enjoy tarot, Princess Mononoke, play tag in the stacks, play Switch, make buttons, chill out with coloring, and eat absurd amounts of pizza and cookies. No registration necessary, but parents must sign a permission slip.
