Drop off your second favorite stuffy to Bear River Library. Your plush will have a 3-night campout adventure. When you pick up your animal camper on Tuesday, July 12th, you'll receive a folder with pictures to show what your stuffy did during camp.

Registration: Join us for our Beginning Ukulele Class/Jam Session. Participates are encouraged to bring their own ukulele. Ten loaner ukuleles will be available first come first serve. Learning to play an instrument is proven by scientist to promote health and well being. Ukulele players of all levels are encouraged to partake in this fun and engaging program.

Thursday, July 7, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Come and join us at the Penn Valley Library for our second Summer Learning Crafternoon! The featured craft: button making! All materials and instructions are provided at the library. Space is limited and registration is recommended.

Wednesday, July 20, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Alan Stahler from Nevada County Astronomers Club will be hosting this daytime dance that will be both fun and informative, where patrons will become different planets and stars to replicate the dance of our solar system.

Let's craft with a Cricut, an electronic die-cutting machine, and the easy-to-use Cricut Design Space app! We'll make an iron-on transfer, which can be used to personalize fabric items, such as a baby bib or a small canvas bag. You are welcome to bring a small fabric item you want to decorate. We'll provide the materials and tech. Registration is required and limited. This program is open to people of all ages and all tech abilities.

Tuesday, July 19th, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Come see the new World Map at the Truckee Library! Life takes us to unexpected places. Truckee calls us home. You’re invited to share your experience & place a marker at your favorite “off the beaten path” location on the new map. Bring your memories and tell us which book you read or wish you’d taken along. It’s a casual gathering during summer, where our community can get ideas for future travels or just reminisce with friends, old and new, about past adventures.

Smokey the Bear Visits the Library (GV) Monday, July 18, 12 - 1 PM Join us for Lunch at the Library, free lunches for ages 18 and under. Smokey the Bear and Tahoe National Forest will be visiting with us and sharing information about fire safety and land stewardship.
