You arrive at the seaside village of Palma Flora just in time for its famous shark hunting tournament. Whether you plan to join the hunt or simply enjoy some rest and relaxation, you just know you're in for a great vacation. After all, what could possibly go wrong...?
Want to know what happens next? Join the adventure! This short campaign from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount takes players from 1st to 3rd level.
What is Dungeons & Dragons?
Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy-themed roleplaying game where each player shares in telling an epic story. Slay monsters, unearth hidden treasures, and achieve greatness with your adventuring party by your side. Using your imagination and a little bit of luck, just about anything is possible.
Yes! We welcome new and experienced players alike. Our Dungeon Master (DM) will reach out to each player ahead of time to go over the rules and help you make your character.
Who's in charge, anyway?
The Dungeon Master, or DM, is the main storyteller and the referee for the game. Ms. Anna, the Teen Librarian, will be DMing this campaign. She has played D&D for over 10 years and took up DMing for the library in 2019.
What do I need in order to participate? A computer with internet and a microphone is best. You may be able to play with a smartphone and/or tablet, but it will be harder to follow along. You will also need to make accounts for Roll20, Discord, and D&D Beyond.
Do I need to buy any D&D stuff? Nope! Everything will be provided for you online. You do not need dice, books, or figures to participate.
I'm not 14 yet. Can I still play? Unfortunately, this program is limited to ages 14 and up. Check out our library calendar for other great programs for all ages.
What if I can't make it to every session? We understand that life happens and you may unexpectedly miss a game. That's okay! If you know ahead of time that you will miss one, that's okay too. If you know you will have to miss 2 or more sessions, please consider waiting for another opportunity to play. We are happy to provide you with information about setting up your own D&D group outside the library.
Thanks for your interest! We will contact you shortly to chat about the game and get to work on your character!
