The Oceanside Public Library remains open for limited in-person service to provide community resources and support distance learning. Here is what you can expect when visiting the Library:
The Civic Center and Mission Branch Libraries are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Bookmobiles and Oceanside READS Learning Center remain closed.
Self-service pickup of material is available using the self-checkout machines, and you will need your Library card or number. Short-term browsing is allowed, although the number of customers allowed in the building at one time will be limited.
Home delivery of material is still an option for many Oceanside residents.
Material can be returned in the Book Return bins in front of the Libraries. All returned material will be quarantined for 96 hours before it is returned to circulation.
There will be a limited number of self-service public computers available for use for one hour per day on a first-come, first-served basis. Self-service printing, copying, faxing and scanning is available.
The study rooms and meeting rooms are not available for use at this time.
All in-person programs have been suspended, but many regular programs such as book clubs and storytimes are being held online via Zoom and YouTube. Register and learn more about these programs.
All customers will be required to wear a face covering while in the Library and maintain social distancing.
