Coats
Operation Winter Warmth:
The past few years have been economically challenging for many. As a result, Knox Church in Port Carling and Zion Church in Torrance are offering brand new, warm winter coats for children and teens again this year. A fresh batch of coats has arrived here in the library in Port Carling. You'll find them on the coat rack on the lower level. If this might help your family, please take what you need!
Warmth
A reminder that we also have a selection of handknit hats, mittens, and socks that have been donated by generous individuals from the community and are available in the vestibule at the upper level of the Port Carling branch.

Throughout the story, Phillips develops caring relationships with the people who need her the most, as she works with colleagues to create an environment where everyone succeeds. But principals are people, too, and Phillips also recounts the demands on her as a single mother with three teenagers, one of whom suffers from significant mental health issues.
