Help us test a new Pierce County Library Curbside Service!
To our Valued Customer:
Pierce County Library System will launch Library Curbside Service very soon at select locations. As a customer with hold request(s) ready to pick up at one or more of those locations, we'd like to invite you to help us test that new service and provide feedback as we prepare to go live at all of our locations across the county!
It’s amazing how much has changed at each of the places we visited prior to COVID-19. Part of what we want to hear about is how the booking process worked for you, and how effective our onsite directions are.
Early-bird user testers are asked to:
Read about and then make a Library Curbside appointment for Hold Pickupor a Grab Bag(staff picks 3 titles based on a few questions!) of titlesat Gig Harbor Branch beginning Monday, July 13, 2020. You can do this after reading about the service at curbside.pcls.us
To make a 20-minute appointment, you can choose to call the Gig Harbor branch at 253-548-3305 beginning Monday morning at 10am or you can book online beginning today! You can choose either a Vehicle Pickup or a Walk up / Bike up Pickup appointment. Use Google Chrome as your internet browser to book your appointment. Edge and Internet Explorer are not supported. Again first appointments are available on July 13.
If you are not interested in helping test Library Curbside, there is no action you need to take. Give us a call or email to cancel your held item(s).
We hope you’ll consider Library Curbside as an early-bird tester. A couple of notes if you are interested:
To assure safety for customers and staff, all customers are asked to wear a face mask and use social distancing throughout their visit and while on library grounds. We appreciate everyone’s care for one another!
We’re still working out the details internally for Activity Packs and Print Pickup so the service is limited to Hold PickUpand Grab Bag options only at this time.
After you make a booking, you’ll receive an email confirmation with instructions for your assigned space and pickup time.
Plan to arrive within 10 minutes of your appointment time to be guaranteed service. And if you arrive early, you may be asked to wait in a non-allocated parking space until your appointment time because of other bookings. If you miss your appointment time, please call us that day to ensure your items are not returned to circulation.
We’ll email you twice more: once to hear your thoughts about the pre-booking instructions and the software; once to hear about the onsite experience. Your candid feedback will help improve the experience for future customers.
Last, but not least. We know how exciting it will be to share this invitation with your friends and family. We aren't ready to serve them just yet...but we will be very very soon!
