The January and February Quilt Display was pieced and quilted by Connie Gaebel in 2018. "My grandchildren were reaching the ages of possible great-grandchildren in the foreseeable future. So, I thought I best get busy on quilts for my special ones to join us. This was a kit I saw in The Quiltmaker magazine on several occasions and fell in love with. So I gave up and bought the kit - which I chose to do because I loved the colors and everything about it. I titled the quilt 'Wild Kingdom'. I did have my first great-grandchild in 2019 - Nathan. I did not give it to him then. I want to wait until he can get as excited about it as I am. It brings a smile to my face every time I see it."
