Connect and swap art with others on the third Thursday of each month 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at the library. The next ATC meeting will be September 19th. Craft artists meet to trade these miniature works of art – about the size of a baseball card – with each other. This is a fun way to meet other artists and exchange creations. The get-together is free and open to the public. The September theme is "Proverbs." |

The September and October Quilt Display features a quilt by Lorie Dale. Here is what Lorie has to say about her quilt "The quilt name is ‘pumpkins’ by Cluck Cluck Sew. It was a simple yet fun quilt to make. Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love all the colors of fall so, I had fun searching for so many different orange fabrics. This was also one of the first quilts that I free motioned quilted on."

The September and October Art Display features the artwork of Denny Nkemontoh. Denny is an artist and owner and facilitator of Denny’s Workshop. While Denny’s background is primarily in writing and education (22 years of teaching experience), art has been an essential part of her life. Primarily self-taught, she began doing art to alleviate stress and, over the years, discovered new ways to express herself, be creative, and to find healing through art. She describes herself as more of a facilitator or guide than a teacher of art and goes broad in her interests rather than becoming an expert in any one field. Her interests range from batik to shibori, paper making to mosaicking, journaling to collaging and much more. Denny’s Workshop Foundation is a 501(3)c non-profit organization aimed at sharing art, building community, and finding healing through artistic exploration.
