Online Spring Minecraft Club April 4th-May 9th, 10-11:30 Beat cabin fever with Online Spring Minecraft Club! HML wants to help give kids events to look forward to even while everything is shut down, so Spring Minecraft Club is going all-online. This club will hold virtual meetings every Saturday morning for kids to play and learn together on the HML Minecraft server. Kids will get to enjoy the same fun, educational challenges that regular Minecraft Club offers from the safety of their own homes! Please note: children must own Minecraft: Java Edition and have access to the internet in order to participate. Other editions of Minecraft are not compatible with our server.

STEAM Survey We want to hear from you about what you'd like to see the library doing to support STEAM learning while we're closed!
This survey is for families with children in our typical STEAM programming age range, around 8 to 12. Please have a chat with your child, and then vote based on what you and they want to "attend" or do. Click here to fill it out.

Escape Rooms at Home While we can't share our newest room with you, here are some FREE alternatives for escape room fun at your own home!
Our escape room master's #1 recommendation is Escape This Podcast. Either listen as guests try to escape rooms that only exist in their imaginations, or use the materials provided with every episode to run a game for your family here! For the younger crowd, Breakout EDU has made some of their digital educational escape rooms free to access here. Finally, a Pennsylvania librarian created a digital Harry Potter escape room using Google Forms. Check it out here.
