This May, we invite you the the Library to a live Chinese Lion Dance in celebration of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, with an authentic “plucking the greens” blessing by the lions on Saturday, May 4, 2:00 p.m. It’s about to get loud in the stacks. This special performance by Portland Lee's Association Dragon & Lion Dance Team is sponsored by Stan and Diana Stanley in memory of Theresa Kaishin Stanley. Summer Reading is just around the corner, with events throughout the summer and free books at registration for youth and adults. Join us for our Pete the Cat Summer Reading Kick-Off Party, Saturday, June 1, 1:30-2:30 p.m., for crafts, games and an appearance from Pete the Cat himself.
