From the Director
Summer Reading is here! This year's program, Build a Better World, runs from June 1 through August 31, and encourages us all to take a more active role in our communities. Washoe County Library System is pleased to partner with the Reno Aces to offer a wonderful Summer Reading Program prize for children and teens: free Aces tickets plus a chance to throw the first pitch at the August 21 game! Kids of all ages will also earn free books every two weeks to reward participation in the program. Sign your kids up today, join us for meaningful and fun experiences all summer long, and help us to build a generation of readers and lifelong library users! I look forward to seeing you in the library and at the Aces! Jeff Scott, Washoe County Library Director
