Steel Betty Austin-based bluegrass trio Steel Betty will offer two events at Washoe County Libraries. The first, presented by the UNR Performing Arts Series, is an interactive animal-centric journey, a story punctuated with lively bluegrass and quirky folk music. They will also be presenting a songwriting workshop intended for participants ages 9 to 15.

Aria 51 Aria 51 is a group made up of local artists that combine classical and folk instruments with singing to create a unique approach to a variety of musical styles. The music is performed using interactive age appropriate activities to inspire excitement and encourage creativity.

Molodi Molodi is a performance ensemble that takes body percussion to the extreme. Molodi blends tap, gumboot, and hip hop dance with guerilla theater and robust personalities to bring to life a high-energy, rhythmic experience.

Book Sale March 14-22 It's time for another Friends of Washoe County Library book sale. As always, the sale will be held in the Reno Town Mall, next-door to the Sierra View Library. There will be a large selection of books, DVDs, and CDs at very reasonable prices. Many of the programs offered by the Washoe County Library System are made possible through the generous funding provided by the Friends of Washoe County Library, a member-supported 501(c)(3) Nevada non-profit organization dedicated to advocating, fundraising, and providing support for the Washoe County Library System.
