Food for Fines April 1 - 30 Washoe County Library System is proud to partner again with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and Project Mana for the spring “Food for Fines at the Library” event. Patrons can bring in one non-perishable food item for every overdue book or other item. (Food cannot be exchanged for lost or damaged library materials.)

New Online Resources In addition to popular online services like Lynda.com and Mango Languages, your library card is now your ticket to access two new services: - Legal Information Reference Center: Exclusive full-text access to the top consumer legal reference books from publishers like Nolo Press. Search and browse business & family law, property & real estate, as well as thousands of legal forms.
- Small Engine Repair Reference Center: Provides detailed yet user-friendly repair guides for all manner of small engines, including motorcycles, ATVs, chainsaws, mowers, generators, boats, and more.

Visit Reno on the Way The History of the Reno Chamber of Commerce Presented by the Historic Reno Preservation Society With Joyce Cox, Author and Research Librarian The Reno Chamber began as the Reno Improvement Society in 1898 and the Reno Commercial Club in 1906. To support local businesses and to promote Northern Nevada as a good place to live, the Chamber promoted the area with unique and innovative slogans as “Visit Reno on the Way” in 1939 and “Reno, Let’s Tell the World” in 1949. - Wednesday, April 18, 5:30 pm, Northwest Reno Library
