The library’s foundation board works hard throughout the year to raise funds for new technology and upgrade our current tools. They recently purchased some new items that we wanted to share with you.
We’ve received two new book carts and our shelver Bella is getting a lot of use out of them. The foundation also purchased a new gaming system that the teens love playing with every day! And lastly we now have a courtesy charging station for patrons in need of a phone charger! We hope these resources will go a long way in helping support our city’s needs and wanted to express our sincerest thanks to our foundation!

November is National Novel Writing Month
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. The Library has partnered with the NaNoWriMo Organization to become a Come Write-in space for novelists. NaNoWriMo is a non-profit organization that connects writers across the globe and helps them achieve their goals in writing. They have chapters here in Kansas and we are providing an open space for them to meet and achieve their writing goals.
This is a come and go self-directed program. The Library will letting writers use the Genealogy Room, if they need a nice quiet space to write their stories, during the month of November on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. On Saturday, November 30th, we’ll have our final Write In with free coffee and cookies. We hope all our local writers will have met their writing goals by then!
Come support your library at the Coffeyville Area Community Foundation's Match Day on November 14th!
Book Discussion Group
This month we’ve decided to read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. The library has reserved several copies so come check one out at your convenience. You can also access the e-book via the Hoopla app. We will not be having a physical meeting this month due to the holidays, our next meeting will be on Thursday, December 19th @ 4PM. This will give readers enough time to read the book between the upcoming holidays. Check out our discussion group on Facebook at www.facebook.com/cplibrary for more information.
Free Movie Matinee
Thursday Nov. 14th @ 1:30PM
