The library has seen its fair share of changes in the last few months. We’ve said goodbye to Cataloger Shelley Barrett, Children’s Library Assistant Clara Rucker, and longtime Custodian Zach Hearson. With those goodbyes, we send our love and best wishes on the next chapter of their lives.
We have several new employees that all started working for the library in the last couple of months and want to welcome them to the library! Samantha Dean, Skylar Hix, Bella Vincen, and Randolph Johnson. So stop by and say hello, we are very happy to have them join our team!
Samantha and Skylar started with us in November. Skylar is our new Children’s library assistant and Samantha our new cataloger. Randolph is our new custodian and Bella is our new shelver and they both started in December.

Book Discussion Club
Our Book Discussion Group just finished reading The Red Garden by Alice Hoffman. This month we are reading The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. The library has reserved several copies of the book for patrons to check out and our next book club meeting will be on Thursday January 24th @ 5:30pm. If you would like to join in the discussion but can’t meet in person, then check out our group on Facebook at www.facebook.com/cplibrary.
Food for Fines
The library is happy to report that we’ve received over 300 non-perishable items for our food drive. Thank you to all that donated and all proceeds will be given to the Salvation Army and Genesis!
Teen Craft Day
We’ve started a new program for teens ages 10-17. Every month they can come to the library and make a special craft. This month we’re making art with thumbtacks and canvas!
Join us Tuesday, January 8th from 3pm-5pm.
