Library remodeling project

We're still on schedule to move back into the library in March. After 4 months of work, the library is starting to look great! Ceilings are being installed and many of the walls are painted. The floors should be coming soon! We greatly appreciate the City for lending us space in Memorial Hall and Landmark Bank for lending us space to store our books, but we are definitely looking forward to being "home" again! You can follow our progress through pictures and prose on our website
and our Facebook page.

eBooks

Did you know you can check out eBooks from the library? Use your Fort Scott library card and password at Sunflower eLibrary
Or we can create a Kansas Library eCard account for you, and you can choose from several eBook options offered through the State Library of Kansas.
We'll be happy to help you get started.
For Kids
Story time
Story time is held every Tuesday at 10:00 am at our Memorial Hall temporary location, and kids of all ages are welcome. Upcoming topics include nursery rhymes and polar bears, based upon favorite themes of regular attendees. Miss Val offers stories, songs, a craft, and a snack at each story time. Children play with toys and check out books and movies afterwards, while parents and grandparents enjoy grown-up socializing.
Summer Reading
Join us June - July of 2017 for an exciting summer reading program for all ages with the theme "Build a Better World." We are currently requesting donations of LEGO™ and comparable blocks for use in the program. Also, we are seeking guest readers/speakers who specialize in the fields of construction, environmental, science, arts, engineering, technology, mathematics, and any non-profits or projects designed to make our world a better place.
