Hello! If you’ve passed by the library recently, you’ve seen a flurry of activity happening with our remodel. Everything is out of storage, power is being installed at our new service desk as I type, and we are getting ready to start unpacking boxes within the next week. We had great intentions of opening the first of June but we experienced a setback when our county moved to a higher risk level because of COVID. This change means that we cannot launch in-person services until June 16.

The services we can offer when we re-open will be closely tied to COVID risks levels. The higher the risk, the more modifications we will need. Here is what we do know: masks are going to be required when you visit, and we are going to ask everyone to follow physical distancing throughout our spaces. With new science available, we’ve learned that we no longer need to quarantine items. When we start offering in-person services again our book return will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are currently developing the schedule of when we will offer in-person services. We know that we will be able to offer limited hours 5 days a week – including Sundays! In our June newsletter we will share all the specifics of our limited re-opening. Everyone on our library team is very excited to see you soon. Thanks for all your support. Take care, Kristen |
