Free Books for Summer Readers 
 
We're doing our best Oprah this summer: Everyone (ages 0 to 999) who participates in Summer Reading at West Slope Library gets a free book!
 
While supplies last, adults simply register online or at the library and then choose their prize book from a broad selection of titles provided by the Friends of the Library. Kids & teens receive their books (among other prizes) after completing a reading log.

Board Games on Tap at West Coast Drinkery
  
Last Tuesday Game Night will be at West Coast Drinkery on June 28, 4:00pm to ... whenever.
 
There will board games, Summer Reading prize books, and our 2nd Annual Loopin' Louie Tournament (the champion wins a pizza!).
 
Happy hour is 3:00-6:00pm, and the Drinkery has a large selection of beer, wine, kombucha, and soda, and offers a full menu. All ages are welcome.
 
Take a break from adulting. After the library closes on Friday, July 15th, we'll re-open the doors for an evening of fun & play for grown-ups. From 6:00 to 9:00pm, we'll have food, drinks, henna adornment, classic video games, a crossword puzzle tournament, prizes, and more!
 
For ages 16+. No registration required.

First Thursday Family Game Night
First Thursday of the month, 5:30-7:45pm  |  All Ages
 
Play videogames and board games at the library! Play some classic Wii games like Lego Batman and WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and try some newer board games like Catan Junior, Doodle Quest, and Bugs in the Kitchen. We can even play cards or set up our own bowling alley!
 
Hiatus: There will be no First Thursday Family Game Night in September.
 
Book Groups
Second Wednesday of the month, 2:00pm & 6:30pm | Adults
 
Our library book groups welcome all adults interested in engaging, respectful discussions about a diverse range of books. Each month's titles are selected annually by those who attend. The afternoon book group meets at 2:00pm and the evening book group meets at 6:30pm on the second Wednesday of the month.

Knitters Group & Craft Night
Second Monday of the month, 6:30pm  |  Teens & Adults
 
Adults and teens are welcome to drop in to learn knitting basics, to give or receive help on knitting problems, to work on knitting projects for the needy, or to simply enjoy hanging out with other knitters.
 
Knitters with expertise will provide guidance for those new to knitting and will provide troubleshooting techniques for experienced knitters who need assistance.
 
We also invite adults and teens who want to craft freely in other media to join us.

Preschool Storytime

Nurture a love of reading with books, rhymes, music and imaginative play. For children ages 3-6 years and their caregivers.
