A better West Slope is coming
News from the Director

Hello!

The remodel is going so well! Every time I pop in I’m excited by how much has changed since the last time I was in. The crews – both our County Facilities team and the drywall contractors – are doing an amazing job of transforming the space. In addition to seeing the progress of covering up the wood panels I really loved seeing the tiny toilet for the brand new kids' bathroom.

Even though the work done locally is coming together quickly we are experiencing COVID-related shipping delays on a few essential items, including our new carpet. Unfortunately, these delays will push back the time the team can get everything unpacked in order to start offering in-person services again.

While we don’t have a firm time frame of when staff will be able to come back into the building, it is safe to assume that it won’t happen this month. We are just as excited as you are to be able to be back in the library and we will work hard to bring back in person services as soon as possible.

The library team is also working with the County health officials to plan what Takeout 2.0 will be like when we are back. We want to hit the ground running as soon as possible.

Thank you for your ongoing support to our library.
Take care,
Kristen
