In 2017, the NextReads team did a lot of brainstorming of ways to make NextReads even better. So far, you can see one (major) result of those discussions -- the way we write our book annotations -- but there have also been some less visible adjustments, including setting some personal goals for ourselves. And we hope to bring you more improvements in the future.

In 2018, I resolve to...
We’d like to continue to diversify the books we select, and offer (in Dawn's words), "the best in a wide variety" of subgenres, topics, and perspectives. That’s not always easy, since we rely on what’s being reviewed (and purchased by libraries), and that’s based on what’s being published (and marketed), but we're committed to making it happen.

Along those lines, Rebecca resolves to increase coverage of early chapter books in the Kids' Books newsletter.

Personally, I’d like to see ever more readers relying on their libraries (and by extension, NextReads newsletters) to discover great books. I’m hoping that in 2018, we can find more ways to help you increase your subscribers.

Lastly, I think Rebecca speaks for us all when she says "I resolve to hone my one-sentence plot summary skills."

In 2018, your patrons will be reading...
