What a day! This morning, at ALA Midwinter in Seattle, librarians and media specialists from all over the U.S. gathered in person or via webcast to watch the 2019 Youth Media Awards announcements (full list of winners below the video). There were no sweeps this year, but lots of surprises!
 
We've made flyers for most of the awards (access them in LibraryAware or through the links to our other newsletters below). Check out these Caldecott and Newbery flyers, perfect for creating award-centered displays or sharing with fellow educators. Ask your students whether they agree or disagree with the winners, or ask them to vote on the shortlist titles before you make a big reveal of the winning title.
