Get the word out

While we all wish that the programs and services we provide could get viral attention and bring crowds running to our libraries, the hard truth is that most of the time, repeating the message is key -- and dedication pays off.

To help you get the word out about NextReads, the designers and librarians behind it all recently created a number of new flyers, e-blasts, and bookmarks -- all with catchy content and images so you don't have to write a thing! Learn how to use three different pieces below.

E-blasts!

Whether you want to promote NextReads as a service, or share sign-up information for a specific newsletter (say to your Mystery book club members!), we've got an e-blast ready.

The text is all done; you just need to add your opt-in page URL and email it to subscribers! Your branding will automatically
be included.

To make one in LibraryAware, create an item and search E-blasts for "NextReads."

Shelf Talkers!

To promote your e-newsletters to patrons wandering your shelves looking for something good to read, provide shelf talkers near your community's favorite authors, topics, or genres.

We've created ones for individual newsletters, as well as non-specific ones as well.
  1. To find shelf talkers, search Flyers-Signs for "NextReads."

  2. As with the e-blast, you'll just need to add your opt-in page URL to make it ready to go, but you can also adjust the wording or the images if you prefer.

  3. Print it out, cut it out, and hang it up!

Bookmarks!

We've created templates for mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, and our general fiction newsletter, Fiction A to Z. All you need to do is add whichever books you like -- and if you want to promote a different newsletter, you can swap out images and change colors to create new versions.

Tips:
  • Keep them handy at the check-out desk to slip into readers' choices

  • Place them in books waiting on the hold shelves

  • Pop them into popular books as you reshelve them

  • Provide them in your book discussion kits
