Stay Up to Speed with "Best of 2017" Lists
Working in a school media center can be both rewarding and hectic, and as you switch between all the different hats you wear, you might not have time to keep up with every single kids' book that's published in a given year.

That's where NoveList's Best of 2017 lists come in: each one offers a chance to look back on the books that your students loved and (hopefully) discover something new. Lovingly curated by the children's librarians and catalogers of NoveList, these "Besties" feature books that are high quality, bursting with kid appeal, or notably exceptional – which means there's something for every reader.

Two ways to find Besties in NoveList:
  • Browse by age group on the Recommended Reads panel on the NoveList home page
  • Do a keyword search for "best 2017", select the Lists & Articles tab, and refine your results by age group.

NoveList Plus and NoveList K-8 Plus users can access the nonfiction Best of 2017 lists using these same methods.

...we'll be back next month with a special issue following the ALA's 2018 Youth Media Awards.
