The schadenfreude is real.

Having previously written about Millennials (I am one) and true crime (love it!), it seems inevitable I'd eventually be writing about the intersection of these two interests dear to my heart. So here we are!  
 
It's been almost two years since the notorious (and endlessly memed) Fyre Festival debacle. It may have started out as a punchline about influencer culture and privileged kids getting scammed, but in October 2018, festival organizer Billy McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison for fraud. Last week, two documentaries chronicling this cautionary tale -- one from Netflix, one from Hulu -- were released within days of each other (which is quickly shaping up to be its own drama).
 
As far as I'm concerned, there can never be enough content out there about "the greatest party that never happened" -- and if you and your patrons feel the same, fear not! Though no tell-alls have been written about the occasion (it's only a matter of time, right?), check out these read-alikes below!
