Following the discussion, the leadership topic will cover the pros and cons of choosing "best" books (award winners or popular book club picks). Come ready to share one "best" book that worked--or didn't--in your group. Also bring any topics or issues that you are experiencing with your own clubs--we can all help each other.

Romance Genre Study (Introduction)

Join us for the first meeting of the 2018-2019 genre study topic: Romance! Fill out a brief survey and read one romance novel of your choice. Also, please read A Roundup of the Season’s Romance Novels by Robert Gottlieb featured in The New York Times Book Review and some of the responses to the article from Smart Bitches Trashy Books, The Seattle Review of Books, Medium, or other sources of your choice. Be ready to discuss the article and subsequent responses.
