Greetings from Rural Hall Branch Library. Thank you for your interest in Rural Hall Branch Library events. There will be a storytime break from Monday, Aug. 19-Monday, Sept. 1. Toddler Storytime will resume on Monday, Sept. 9 and Preschool Storytime will resume on Thursday, Sept. 5. Adults are welcome to share their favorite book during the Rural Hall Book Club meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rural Hall Branch Library Auditorium.

Triad Cardinal-Geriatric & Adult Specialty Team will present a program identifying the symptoms and causes of depression. Learn treatments options, tips on managing depression, and who is at risk.

S.T.E.A.M. Session Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 5-6 p.m. S.T.E.A.M. Sessions allow children (ages 5-11) to develop their skills in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). This month, children can make different types of slime.

Preschool Storytime Thursdays from 11-11:45 a.m. Children (3-5 years old) and their caregivers are welcome to join us each week for stories, songs, rhymes and interactive flannelboard activities. No Preschool Storytime on Thursday, Aug. 22 and Thursday, Aug. 29.

Music and Movement Second Thursday from 11-11:30 a.m. Join us for a fun-filled program for children up to 5 years old and their caregivers. We will have an interactive storytime and use props (shaker eggs, scarves and rhythm sticks) to sing and dance to the music.

Teen Anime Club Friday, Aug. 9 from 4-5:30 p.m. Teens (ages 12-17) are welcome to join us on the second Friday of the month to play a summer-themed Japanese game called suikawari ("watermelon splitting") and watch some anime afterwards.
