Greetings from Rural Hall Branch Library. Thank you for your interest in Rural Hall Branch Library events.  
 
Rural Hall Branch Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from Thursday, Nov. 28-Friday, Nov. 29. The library will re-open on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m.
Special Events
Holiday Card Making-DIY 
Friday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. 
Get a head start on the holiday season and save some money on cards by crafting your own. We will have some sample cards that you can follow, or you may choose to create your own design from a variety of craft supplies provided. Come join in the fun and enjoy some light refreshments while you create in a relaxed environment. Please call 336-703-2970 to register.
 
Ongoing Children's Programs
Toddler Storytime
Mondays from 11-11:30 a.m.
Children up to 2 years old and their caregivers are welcome to join us each week as we sing songs, listen to stories and repeat rhymes. No Toddler Storytime until further notice.
Family Storytime
Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11-11:45 a.m.
Families with children of all ages are welcome to join us for stories, songs, rhymes and a fall-themed craft activity. No Family Storytime until further notice. 
S.T.E.A.M. Session 
Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 5-6 p.m.
S.T.E.A.M. Sessions allow children (ages 5-11) to develop their skills in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). No S.T.E.A.M. Session until further notice 
Preschool Storytime 
Thursdays from 11-11:45 a.m.
Children (3-5 years old) and their caregivers are welcome to join us each week for stories, songs, rhymes and interactive flannelboard activities. 
Music and Movement
Second Thursday from 11-11:30 a.m.
Join us for a fun-filled program for children up to 5 years old and their caregivers. We will have an interactive storytime and use props (shaker eggs, scarves and rhythm sticks) to sing and dance to the music. 
Teen Programs
Teen Anime Club
Second Friday from 4-5:30 p.m.
Celebrate International Games Week by playing Japanese board and card games.
 
Ongoing Adult Programs
Sittercise
Mondays and Fridays from 10-10:45 a.m. 
This chair exercise class is free and open to the public regardless of your level of mobility.  
Art Club
Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Bring an art project to work on at the library each week. 
 
Rural Hall Book Club
First Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
We will discuss "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" by Agatha Christie during this month's meeting. 
 
Quilting Club 
Second Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
Bring a quilting project to work on at the library each month. Beginners are welcome to attend. 
Stitching Circle
Every Tuesday (except the First)
from 6-8 p.m.
Join in on the yarn crafting fun. Bring your project and pattern. Get help with new techniques or just relax as you work on your project in an atmosphere of encouragement and inspiration. Ideal for knitters and crochet lovers. 
Sewing Circle 
Third Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
Bring a sewing project to work on at the library each month. A Brother sewing machine is available to use. Beginners are welcome to attend. 
Living Well Book Club
Fourth Wednesday at 1 p.m.
(Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the club will be held on the third Wednesday, Nov. 20).
The book club will discuss "Beloved" by Toni Morrison.
