Greetings from Rural Hall Branch Library. Thank you for your interest in Rural Hall Branch Library events. Rural Hall Branch Library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3 for the Labor Day holiday. The library will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. On the Same Page (OTSP) returns for the 17th year. This is a community wide reading program running Sept. 8- Oct. 20 with a variety of programs for all ages. The title selected is “Pretty Monsters,” a collection of short stories by Kelly Link. Book Babies with Sign Language Friday, Sept. 7, 11-11:30 a.m. Babies (ages 0-2) and their caregivers are welcome to attend a special storytime. Book Babies will include stories, songs and rhymes in sign language.

PJ Storytime Tuesday, Sept. 11, 6:30-7 p.m. Join us for a special night-time storytime. Children of all ages and their caregivers can sing, dance and listen to stories.

Toddler Storytime Mondays, 11-11:30 a.m. Children (0-2 years old) and their caregivers are welcome to join us each week as we sing songs, listen to stories and repeat rhymes. Toddler Storytime will resume on Monday, Sept. 10 at 11 a.m.

S.T.E.M. Session Wednesday, Sept. 26, 4-5 p.m. S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Sessions are monthly programs that allow children (5-11 years old) to learn, build, create and experiment with new objects and ideas. This month we will experiment with color.

Preschool Storytime Thursdays, 11-11:45 a.m. Children (3-5 years old) and their caregivers are welcome to join us each week for stories, songs, rhymes and interactive flannelboard activities. Preschool Storytime will resume on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m.

Music and Movement Second Thursday, 11-11:30 a.m. Join us for a fun-filled program for children (0-5 years old) and their caregivers. We will have an interactive storytime and use props (shaker eggs, scarves and rhythm sticks) to sing and dance to the music.

Family Storytime Saturday, Sept. 15, 11-11:45 a.m. Families with children of all ages are welcome to join us for stories, songs, rhymes and a craft each month.
