Science & Health Series: Hoarding and Rummaging
Thursday, Jan. 9, 4 p.m.
The Geriatric Adult Specialty Team returns with a special presentation about hoarding and rummaging as a diagnosed mental illness. The presentation will provide insight into the disorder and includes a brief discussion related to individuals with Alzheimer’s who hoard and rummage, treatment options, and tips for caregivers.

Tai Chi for Beginners

Join us at the Lewisville Branch Library for beginner tai chi. Local instructor, Master Lijun Tang, will guide you through the 24 movements of simplified tai chi with a gentle focus on the connection between body, mind, and breath. Tamil Language Group
Every Saturday from Sept. 2019 - June 2020, 2 - 4 p.m.

Lewisville Branch Library's Teen Advisory Board is made up of Lewisville Branch Library's teen volunteers. We meet on the first Monday of the month (during the school year) to discuss ways to improve the Lewisville Branch Library. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays, and suggests resources that the library should purchase. Nutrition Class for Teens
Monday, Jan. 6, 13, 27 and Feb. 3, 6 p.m.
Get Healthy in the New Year! Learn about nutrition and basic cooking skills from a licensed dietitian, Elizabeth B. Walser, RD, LDN. This free course is four sessions long. It is recommended that you come to all of the classes, as they are progressive. Registration required. Recommended for ages 12-18. Sponsored by the Forsyth County Department of Health. Cooking demonstrations will include vegetarian options.

Special Activity: Make Candy Sushi/Learn to Use Chopsticks
The Teen Anime Club meets to watch anime, draw manga, and to do special activities related to Japanese culture throughout the year. Grades 6-12. You are free to come to the club without registering, but you will not be able to participate in any food related activities without your parent or guardian having filled out the permission form that you will be given upon registering.
