Jane & Tea Virtual Book Club Thursday, Aug. 20, 10 a.m. The Jane & Tea Book Club meets every third Thursday of the month to discuss the pick of the month and enjoy tea, snacks and all things Jane Austen. We read original works, associated biographies, and other nonfiction, as well as Austen read-alikes. A relaxed and open group for those who love Jane. Attendees will need to create a Zoom account or download the app on their mobile device.

The Friends of the Lewisville Library's Virtual Book Club Tuesday, Aug. 25, 3 p.m. The group reads a mixture of fiction (all genres) and non-fiction, and the books are selected by the group. Men & women take part in a lively discussion about their favorite past time: READING! The group will meet virtually via Zoom. Attendees will need to create a Zoom account or download the app on their mobile device.

Lewisville Reading Challenge Need a project to keep you busy while you are social distancing? Participate in the Lewisville Branch Library's Reading Challenge. Here's how it works: Your library challenges you to read a variety of books throughout the year. Complete the reading challenge (print form below), which encourages readers to step into a wide variety of stories and genres. When you finish, please submit your form to the Lewisville Branch Library by Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 to be in the drawing for a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card. Good Luck!

Virtual StoryTime **New Time** Thursdays at 10 a.m. starting in August Join us for stories, rhymes, songs and activities designed to improve early literacy. Recommended for children ages 2 - 5 years and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Registration required.
You will be emailed a link and password to attend the Zoom meeting one day before the program starts. If you do not have a webcam or microphone, you may still attend.

Mad Hatter's Virtual Book Club for Teens Monday, Aug. 17, 3 p.m. The Mad Hatter's Book Club meets virtually via Zoom. The participants (ages 12-18) choose a topic (chosen at the meeting the month before) and we all research whatever we want related to that topic. We could read fiction or nonfiction books, watch movies, read news articles, etc. We then discuss what we found out at our meeting. There is no pressure to speak. Be sure to wear a funny hat if you have one!
