Witchy-Washi Crafters

Join our monthly washi tape craft group. The group meets every first Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon. This is a great group to join to meet other crafters and learn all the fun uses of washi tape! Some supplies provided. Crafters are welcome to bring their personal supplies and projects.

Creative Writing Group

Tai Chi for Beginners

Join us at the Lewisville Branch Library for Beginning Tai Chi. Local instructor, Master Lijun Tang, will guide you through the 24 movements of simplified tai chi with a gentle focus on the connection between body, mind, and breath. Can't make it downtown to get your a/rthouse film fix? Lucky for you, you can watch your favorite independent and niche market films right here in the burbs. a/Perture Theater will present a classic or modern a/rthouse film every month on the second Saturday at 2 p.m. Grab some free popcorn and nurture your inner cinephile.

Making Proud Choices!
Monday, Aug. 5 - Wednesday, Aug. 7, 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Making Proud Choices! An Evidence-Based, Safer-Sex Approach to Teen Pregnancy and HIV/STD Prevention is a 3 day long training that provides adolescents with the knowledge, confidence and skills necessary to reduce their risk of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), HIV and pregnancy by abstaining from sex or using condoms and birth control methods if they choose to have sex.
Lunch each day is provided and gift cards are available with completion of the course. Registration and permission slips are required to attend. For ages 12-17.
This program is a collaboration between Forsyth County Public Library, Forsyth County Public Health, Forsyth Adolescent Health Coalition, Wake Forest School of Medicine, and Planned Parenthood.
