CLEMMONS BRANCH LIBRARY NEWSLETTER Spring is in the air and so is excitement at the Clemmons Branch Library! Build a bat house, learn how to clean the KonMari way, and improve your finances. Plus the return of story times!

The book club will meet on March 4th to discuss The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. On April 1st, the book club will discuss The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. Call the library at 336-703-2920 for more details. Meets on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book and we’ll make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The Cookin' Club will meet on March 20 and will be preparing French recipes. The Cookin' Club will also meet on April 17. Meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 24 @ 11 a.m. On Wednesday, April 24 at 11 a.m., Wake Forest Museum of Anthropology Japan Outreach Coordinator Nana Watanobe will present the latest organization tips and trends for successful spring cleaning. Through talking about the Japanese housing system and recent decluttering trends in her native Japan, she will introduce some useful tips for spring cleaning, specifically touching on the popular “KonMari method” coined by Marie Kondo.

Japanese Girls' Day and Boys' Day Craft

Saturday, March 9 The Clemmons Branch Library will be celebrating the Japanese traditions of Girls' Day and Boys' Day with an activity for each holiday. Stop in to the children's area starting at 11 a.m. for a fun craft unique to these celebrations. All supplies will be provided! Open to children in 1st-5th grade.
