CLEMMONS BRANCH LIBRARY NEWSLETTER
 
Stay warm at the Clemmons Branch Library this winter! With LEGO and craft events for children, vision boards for teens, monthly book clubs and weekly story times, there are plenty of reasons to get out of the cold and go to the library in January and February. 

LEGO Building!
Wednesday, January 24
@ 3:30 p.m.
Join us for LEGO building at the library! We will meet to read and discuss a story and brainstorm, then the children will be asked to build a LEGO creation with a theme in mind or will be given a "maker" challenge. At the end of the program we will share and discuss our creations and thoughts with the group.
 
This program is designed for school aged children in 1st -5th grade.

Monthly Programs
Book Lovers' Club
 
 
 
Join this dynamic group for a discussion of The Girl Who Knew Too Much by Amanda Quick on January 8.
 
On February 5, the book club will discuss The Sea Keeper's Daughters by Lisa Wingate.

the month at 6:30 p.m.
Clemmons Cookin' Book Club
Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book and we’ll make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend.
 
On January 17, the Cookin' Club will be making soups and stews recipes to keep warm in the cold weather.
 
The Club will also meet on February 21, with a theme yet to be determined.

Story time programs help children learn about books and reading in a social atmosphere.

Join us for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies! Best for children 18 months to 5 years and caregivers, but all ages are welcome!

Join us for craft day at the library! Drop in to make the craft of the day, or use your imagination to make a masterpiece using various different materials!

Vision Boards for Teens
Thursday, January 4

Where will your 2018 life map take you?

Come visualize your 2018 goals by creating a vision board!  Vision boards are a collage of pictures to represent your dreams, goals, and desires for the new year. Once the board is complete,  place it in a frequently used area to serve as a daily reminder of the goals you would like to achieve for the new year.

Registration is recommended, but not required. Program for teens in 6th-12th grade. For more information, call 336-703-2920.
