The Garden Home Community Library, located inside THPRD’s Garden Home Recreation Center, nearly doubled in size with a much-anticipated expansion in the spring of 2019! In addition to offering books, the Library hosts dozens of monthly programs and offers a free meeting space for local nonprofits in the GHCL Annex. Monthly programs include Ukulele Jam, Nerd Night Trivia, Lego Creativity Club, and Crafternoon Tea. The Library collaborates with THPRD’s Garden Home Recreation Center to present large-scale events like this year’s Día de los niños celebration.

"The depth and breadth of this book will change the way you think about pregnancy and maternity. The author's research into the medical science and cultural attitudes around pregnancy and maternal health reveals information that is by turns fascinating, beautiful, weird, surprising, and sometimes infuriating. The audiobook is well performed and sounds good at regular and 1.25 speed." - Katrina E., Garden Home Community Library

"Faster-than-light travel has its downsides, and sometimes when people are being beamed as a beam of light, they end up a little scrambled. Private Dietz, an enlisted soldier in the corporate war against Mars, is experiencing some … unusual side-effects. Throw in a disappearing ex, possible conspiracy, and a lurking enigma, and you’ve got yourself the perfect page-turner for the weekend." - Kate F., Garden Home Community Library

"I’ve always liked books with pictures best, and this illustrated edition is one of my favorites. The science behind this book is as breathtaking as the beautiful photographs illuminating its pages. Did you know that trees communicate with one another through fungal pathways, and that trees collectively make decisions about their procreation and growth? This book is truly a delight and very likely to change the way you look at the trees in your neighborhood!" - Casey L., Garden Home Community Library
