The North Plains Public Library is a beautiful, cozy library with tiger maple shelves and a distinctive cupola. The library recently celebrated its 13th anniversary in its current building, which was started and funded by the Friends of NPPL. The library may look small, but it offers regular monthly programs (writers' group, craft guild, artist trading cards, book clubs) and featured programs (such as cultural and culinary events and yoga). Did you know that they feature a rotating quilt and original artwork displays every other month? The library also has a hidden geocache!

"An epic, sweeping story following residents of a farming community throughout the years. Lemire's masterpiece uncovers family secrets and what binds us together." - Brianna S., North Plains Public Library
"A stunning and unsettling critique of modern society. If a plague caused everyone to become mindless worker drones, how long would it take you to notice? One of my favorite books I have read this year." - Brianna S., North Plains Public Library
