Aloha Community Library to Join WCCLS
The recent passage of the WCCLS operating levy will allow the Aloha Community Library to become a full WCCLS member this year, providing a convenient access point for library services in the center of the County. The library will begin receiving operating funds from WCCLS in July 2016 to allow the transition to full membership, with a target completion date of September 2016. The Aloha Community Library Board and staff are working with WCCLS to map out a plan for connecting with the WCCLS system. In addition, Aloha Community Library has local plans to remodel and relocate to the larger “Annex” space they have been using for programs and book sales. The move to the new 9,600 square foot space will take place prior to joining WCCLS. We know patrons are eager to make Aloha Community Library their new WCCLS home library. For a preliminary timeline of plans stay tuned to wccls.org for updates. Aloha Community Library Address: 17455 SW Farmington Rd, Suite 25B, Aloha, OR 97078

WCCLS Reading Challenge 2016
Make 2016 a year for reading! This year, WCCLS librarians are encouraging readers to broaden their reading interests. For each month in 2016, we will be sharing a particular focus for reading, along with a list of book suggestions. Visit reads.wccls.org/more to see our suggestions, and sign up for once-a-month emails with the new topic and title suggestions. Each week on social media, we will also post staff reviews that fit the focus, to encourage you to keep reading and to discover new titles. If you read a book related to the monthly focus, we would love to hear from you! Share a review, or post it on social media with the hashtag #wcclsreadsMORE. Follow WCCLS on Facebook and Twitter, and visit reads.wccls.org to see the reviews your fellow readers are posting! We look forward to joining you in a year of great books.
