Movies from Books Series Tuesday | January 21 | 6:30 pm The film Fahrenheit 451 (1966) will be shown followed by a discussion led by WHKY film critic Joe Barrett. Barrett will provide the story behind the making of the film and share fascinating information about its production. History of the Civil Rights Movement ProgramThursday | January 16 | 6:30 pmHickory Public Library is partnering with Hickory Community Theatre to provide the program “Through A Local Lens: A History of the Development of the Modern Civil Rights Movement.” The presenter of the program is Dr. Willie Griffin, the Historian for Levine Museum of the New South. He is a civil rights scholar, educator, and Charlotte native.
