To protect the health of our staff and residents, the city of San Mateo is taking extensive steps to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. In compliance with the County Health Officer’s order to shelter in place, our library branches are currently closed to the public. Although our library buildings are closed, our digital doors are open 24/7. With your library card, you can access online books, music, movies, magazines and newspapers, homework help, and more. We are working to make additional online resources available during the closure and will keep you informed. Click the images below to access e-resources. For questions about our resources or any other information matters, reference librarians are available during the closure on a limited basis, Monday through Friday. Email us at smplref@plsinfo.org. Don’t have a library card? Sign up online for a temporary card, and start using selected e-resources right away. (Temporary cardholders must visit a branch after libraries reopen to receive a permanent card.) ... Renewals and returns All due dates for Peninsula Library System materials have been extended. Link+ service is suspended and we are working to renew currently-borrowed Link+ items. No fines will be assessed for PLS or Link+ materials. We ask that library users please wait to return library materials until libraries have reopened.
