The Gardener Always Rings Twice: Hobby Mystery Stories
In our quest to enhance our mystery and suspense collection, we have created a new genre: Hobby Mystery Stories. A type of cozy mystery story, these breezy and engaging books feature amateur detectives who enjoy a particular hobby (knitting, gardening, or antiquing, for example). These hobby enthusiasts use their smarts along with their hobby-honed skills to solve mysteries -- next time you are framed for murder, call one of your knitting friends!

These books are free of graphic violence and sex but are loaded with clues and decoupaged with small town settings and likeable characters. Here you will find Benni Harper (Earlen Fowler's quilting mysteries), Cora Felton (Parnell Hall's puzzle lady mysteries), and the Darling Dahlias (Susan Wittig Albert's Depression-era gardening mysteries).
To find these, try a search inside NoveList for "hobby mystery stories." Add subjects like knitting or scrapbooking to narrow your search.
