Join Us for Summer Learning! Come to the library or visit www.summerlearners.org to register for our Summer Learning Program. Summer Learning is for patrons from birth to adult. Finishers under 18 get a free book and the chance to win a $1,000 college scholarship or tickets to a Giants game. Complete additional logs for more chances to win. Join us for the Summer Learning Extravaganza on August 13 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. @ Fairmont Park.

Sherry Austin with Henhouse Friday, July 24 @ 7:00 p.m. Sanchez Library With four of the most popular Americana vocalists in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sherry Austin with the Henhouse Band delights their fans with their engaging stage presence, upbeat songs, and great harmonies. They sing with authority and passion, and their distinctive blend of folk, country, and rock is filled with warmth and conviction. Their music covers the range from sweet love songs to gritty, rockin' songs about cars, trains, and love gone wrong.

Dad & Me Puppet Show Saturday, July 25 @ 11:00 a.m. Sharp Park LibraryAll family members are invited to attend a performance by the Puppet Art Theater Co. Three Billy Goats must find a way to outwit the Troll and get across the bridge so they can enjoy the field of green, green grass. Little Billy, his older sister Brittany, and their father Bruno all try to trip-trap their way across the bridge. Will they make it? This program is co-sponsored by the Fatherhood Collaborative of San Mateo County. For all ages.

Owl Pellet Dissection Monday, July 27 @ 3:00 p.m. Sanchez Library Learn about the function of a spine through examining various animal backbones, highlighting the structural differences between carnivores and herbivores. Students will also dissect an owl pellet, picking out bones and trying to assemble a rodent skeleton. Ages 4 - 10. Space is limited. Call to register.

Lawyers in the Library Tuesday, July 28 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sharp Park Library The fourth Tuesday of each month the library, in partnership with the San Mateo County Bar Association, holds free legal clinics. Participants have a twenty minute free consultation with an attorney. The topic for July is Family Law. Call to register.

Bring the Internet Home The San Mateo County Library is offering WiFi hotspots and WiFi hotspot/laptop combos. This program provides wireless hotspots with unlimited data. WiFi hotspot/laptop combos include Microsoft Office 2013 along with popular browsers. The devices are part of our In-Luck collection and can be checked out for 7 days.

Library Delivery Program for Homebound Pacifica Residents How Do You Qualify? This program provides services to those who are unable to get to the library because of: Short/long term illness, non-driver status (Senior), physical challenges and/or visual disabilities. Temporary Services You can also be temporarily homebound due to pregnancy, maternity leave, injury, etc. Benefits of Homebound Services Library materials specifically selected for you, based on your interests, will be delivered to your residence. When you're ready for new items, we will drop those off and pick up the items you're finished with. You will receive: No overdue fines and longer lending periods. Interested in Signing Up? Interested in Helping Deliver Materials to Homebound Patrons? We are also seeking volunteers who can assist with delivering material to the homebound.
