Cobourg - Contactless Pick-up for Items How does it work? - Place a Request on an item online or by phone
- If the item is "Available" staff will search for it. When found, it will be Checked-Out to your account, and placed in a paper bag.
- If the item is Out, it will go into Isolation for 3 days when it is returned (although it will show as available for pick-up)
- After the isolation period, the item will be Checked-Out to your account, and placed in a paper bag
- The following day, you will receive a phone call and/or an email to let you know the item is ready to be picked up.
- These items will be available for Contactless Pick-up just inside the Library Foyer at the Rotary Room doors.

Cobourg - Computer Lab Access to public computers is available at all branches. Cobourg Library - Six public stations available for sessions up to 45 minutes. The lab is closed each hour for cleaning. Sessions start on the hour. Scanning, printing and copying available. Express computer maximum 15-minute session - on the hour and the half-hour. Masks and hand sanitizing required for entry. First come, first served. Bewdley and Gores Landing - Laptops available for public use. Wifi available at all locations - please see staff for password.

Virtual Author Talk with Dan Buchanan - author of "The Wreck of the HMS Speedy"Saturday, November 14thThe sinking of H.M.S. Speedy, an 80-foot, two-masted schooner, during a storm off the shores of Presqu'ile in October of 1804, is an important event in the shaping of Northumberland County. All 29 souls aboard perished. The schooner was carrying a prisoner, lawyers and a judge from York to Presqu'ile for a murder trial when tragedy struck. This led to the decision to build the District Court House in Amherst, (part of Cobourg). Dan will be interviewed by Northumberland County Records and Archival Services staff.
