Ontario Parking Passes available to borrowStarting Tuesday, February 16th - you will be able to borrow a One-Day Parking Pass for any provincial park in Ontario from any of our three branches! These passes are part of a kit which also contains a pair of binoculars (to view the landscape and local wildlife), a compass, a Parks Map and other information. Loan period: 1-week Fine rate: $20.00/open day Kits will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Shelter Buddies Show & Tell Friday, February 12th - 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. In this zoom-based social event, children will have a chance to practice public speaking while sharing fun facts about their favourite pet. No pets at home, no problem! Share a stuffed animal, picture, toy, or even an imaginary animal friend! Animal Services will be live at the shelter to share a bit about some of the animals in their care. This program will be hosted on the Zoom platform. Zoom links will be emailed before the program to the email address you used to register. If you have not received an email link before the program, check your Junk folder in case the invite went there instead of your Inbox. Accessing this program through a device with video, audio, and internet connectivity is preferred but there is also a dial-in by phone option if necessary. You must login with the same name that you signup with ie: John Doe at signup = John Doe when you request to be admitted to the room. Otherwise, we will not allow you in as a safety precaution. Cobourg - Contactless Pick-up for Items How does it work? - Place a Request on an item online or by phone
- If the item is "Available" staff will search for it. When found, the item will be Checked-Out to your account,
and placed in a paper bag (go to Step 5). - If the item is "Out", it will go into Isolation for 3 days when returned (although it will show as available for pick-up)
- After the isolation period, the item will be Checked-Out to your account, and placed in a paper bag
- The following day, you will receive a phone call and/or an email to let you know the item is ready to be picked up.
- Your items will be available for Contactless Pick-up at the Parking Lot side doors (during the hours above).

Return All Items to our Drop Box (Cobourg) When you come to the Cobourg Library, please be sure to drop off your returns into the outside drop box slots just north of the main doors on the parking lot side. All returned items are checked in during open hours, and isolated for 3 days before becoming available to borrow or fill requests.
