On Friday, October 24, 2014, HPL will launch a brand new library website that provides a better online experience no matter what type of device you are using. Our new website has improved site navigation and search functions, and will be engaging, intuitive and mobile friendly!
These changes are part of our ongoing efforts to give you convenient and efficient options for accessing our vast array of resources, services and programs. The updates are to our main site only – the library catalog and your customer account will not be impacted.
We think you will find the new site vibrant, easy to use and informational, and we look forward to your valuable feedback after the launch.
Every child should experience the joy of reading! The Houston Public Library is proud to serve as community partner for this year’s KHOU 11 Book Drive. All new and gently used books for children ages 5 to 10 will benefit Houston-area Neighborhood Centers.
You're invited to drop off books from 8 AM - 12 PM Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Baker-Ripley House, 6500 Rookin, 77074 in Southwest Houston. More details can be found on the community page of KHOU.com.
Please join us as Dan Cohen, Executive Director of the Digital Public Library of America talks about what the DPLA can provide for the general public, teachers, students and librarians.
