The Library sponsors several different kinds of book clubs. We read mysteries, classics, regional writers, and an eclectic mix. The Library provides copies of the titles used in its book discussion groups at no charge. Bring your lunch and eat while we discuss our featured title. Holiday Recipe Card Swap Wednesday, November 6 at 1:00 PM Are you looking for a traditional holiday recipe to bake this season but can't locate it? Is there a cake you promised to have at Christmas dinner and now can't find the recipe? Join us at the Ware Shoals Community Library for a good old-fashioned recipe swap! Come share your favorites and discover new favorites. bring one copy of your recipe(s) and we can make copies for anyone who wants them. Spend a cozy afternoon hour talking about time-tested recipes and new things to try over hot chocolate and cookies as we prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Annual Christmas Cookie Swap Tuesday, December 10 at 6:00 PM Come and celebrate the season. There will be hot cocoa, cookies, and other goodies to enjoy while watching a favorite Christmas classic. The movie is voted on from September-November and is kept *Top Secret* until the night of the cookie swap.
Bring 3-4 dozen cookies, brownies, or other holiday treats along with a copy of the recipe. At the end of the program, everyone swaps cookies, allowing everyone to go home with a nice assortment for the holidays.
Everyone is welcome to come and join us for this fun holiday event!

The Polar Express Storytime Tuesday, December 3 at 10:00 AM Join us for a magical holiday storytime as we read "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg. Children are welcome to come in pajamas and bring their special stuffed animal. We will enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, make holiday ornaments, and write a letter to Santa to be mailed to the North Pole.
