The Library sponsors several different kinds of book clubs. We read mysteries, classics, regional writers, and an eclectic mix. The Library provides copies of the titles used in its book discussion groups at no charge. Bring your lunch and eat while we discuss our featured title. Free Basic Computer Classes Sign up begins on Wednesday, January 29 To Sign up for a class: Call the Reference Desk at (864) 941-4655 or come upstairs in the Main Library. All classes will meet in the Digital Literacy Lab upstairs in the Main Library. Basics I Tuesday, March 17 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM This class is an introductory course to the computer. In this class you will begin with the fundamental skills needed to use a computer. This class must be taken before student can continue to Basics II. Basics II Wednesday, March 18 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Learn how to resize windows, learn all about the start menu, and develop intermediate mouse skills. Students must complete this class before continuing onto Basics III. Basics III Friday, March 20 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM In this class, the student will apply the fundamental skills learned in Basic I and II to the learn how to open and save files, use a USB flash drive and more. Basics I and II must be completed before taking Basics III. Tech Tuesday Tuesday, March 31 By Appointment Tech Tuesday is offered as a dedicated time for one-on-one assistance with basic computer/technology questions. Please have a specific topic that you want to go over when you sign up for your appointment.

Furry Tales Thursday, March 19 4:00 PM Join us for an exciting storytime with the Humane Society of Greenwood featuring a special furry friend. Homeschooler Storytime Friday, March 27 10:30 AM A special storytime during the school day designed for homeschool kids. After storytime, we will also have an arts and crafts project.

Early Release Afternoon Matinee The Lego Movie Wednesday, March 25 1:00 PM An ordinary LEGO construction worker, thought to be the prophesied as "special", is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the LEGO universe into eternal stasis.

Dr. Seuss's Birthday Monday, March 2 9 AM to 5:00 PM Library is CLOSED 12:30-1:30 for lunch Come join us in Celebrating Dr. Seuss. We will have Pin-the-Hat on the Cat, One fish, Two Fish Fishing, Dr. Seuss Picture Prop area (parents can take pictures of their children with the props), arts & crafts, and snacks. Join us for a day of family fun! Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon Wednesday, March 25 3:30 PM The Little Engine Playhouse Tour, presented by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Penguin Books, is coming to the Ninety Six Branch Library with a theatrical adaptation of Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon by Patty Lovell. You and your little ones are invited to come watch this delightful children’s book come to life in this upbeat sing-a-long musical, with a special appearance by Dolly Parton herself via video.
The program is free and perfect for children of all ages.
