Get ready for a day of high-energy, hands-on science, technology, engineering & mathematics workshops. This free event is geared towards students who are looking into future careers in these areas as well as those who just love STEM programming or want to learn more! Workshops are led by area volunteers from local businesses and organizations. Please check the library's website for more information about this exciting event.

Teen Fantasy Football League: Online Draft Night (95th) Tuesday, September 5, 6:30 pm Get ready for some fantasy football and join the library's Teen Fantasy Football League! The live online draft will take place Tuesday, Sept. 5 (please be aware the draft may last up to one and a half hours). Teens will make their draft picks online from their home computer. The league is private so only teens from Naperville Public Library will be able to participate. To participate, teens can send an email to Alison Colman, teen services librarian at acolman@naperville-lib.org with the participant's first and last name, and email address by Monday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. The winner of the league will receive a 3-D printed trophy, a gift card and bragging rights until next year. *Program requires advance registration and does not take place at the library.

Take A Break: Back to School Crafting Session (NIC)

Community Room
Now that school is back in full swing, students can take a quick break to prep for the rest of the year. Participants will decorate notebooks and pencils with colorful washi tape. Teens will also have a chance to make their very own stress balls to help them relax throughout school year!

Monday, Oct. 16, 4:30 pm Program Room Visit the library each month to watch anime, draw manga, talk about all things anime and meet other otaku!This program is for teens in 6th through 12th grades.

Monday, October 9, 4:00 pm "Mario KartT" Community Room Teens can use the library's Wii U to compete to win bragging rights and a Target gift card. Participants can also bring their DS to play for fun with other gamers during breaks. As time allows, there will be free play after the tournament!

Wednesday, October 25, 4:00 pm Meeting Room A/B Check out the library's Wii U gaming system on the big screen as the library has a variety of games, new and old, that can be played by up to four players. Teen participants in 6th through 12th grades are encouraged to bring their own Nintendo 3DS systems to use as extra controllers.

Monthly Teen Book Giveaway (95th) Monday, Oct. 2, 3:00 pm Teen Services DeskBookworms can receive a new book or advanced reading copy by visiting the lower level teen services desk on the second to last Monday of the month for the Teen Book Giveaway. To receive the book, teens should write a book review (the good, the bad and the ugly reviews will all be accepted) for the book received. Reviewers should return the book review to the library within the next month.

Monday, Oct. 23, 6:00 pm Community Room Bookworms can discuss books they have recently read, are currently reading or even old-time favorites. Pizza will be provided to fuel the conversation. This program is for teens in 6th through 12th grades.
