Marketing Meetup and Lab Series

Starting May 3, NaperLaunch will offer a new Marketing Workshop and Lab series which will focus on marketing principles. The intent is to develop marketing know-how to enhance our members' marketing capabilities. The series starts off with Facebook Marketing. Future sessions will cover using Linked, Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms. In coming months we will also address Branding, Content Marketing, Email Marketing and using Library resources. The series will include a workshop presentation at the first of the month and a follow up lab session two weeks later. In the lab session participants can actually complete marketing ad campaigns or other parts of a strategic marketing plan under the guidance of NaperLaunch marketing coaches. Don't miss it!

In May, participants will put to use the marketing principles and concepts taught during the Marketing Meetup on May 3, in this case, Facebook Marketing. Bring a computer and outlines of marketing campaigns, ideas and strategic plans, and any content, images or videos. Participants will receive hands-on direction and guidance from NaperLaunch marketing coaches to put the plan into action. The intent is for participants to be able to actually complete a portion of their strategic marketing plan during the lab session.

Dreaming Big - Get inspired!

A reception and networking begins around 6:15 p.m. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. Sam Pitroda is a telecom engineer, inventor, serial entrepreneur and policymaker. He was born in India and studied electrical engineering in Chicago. He returned to India spending a decade with Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi leading the effort to build an Indian information industry. He served as Advisor to the Prime Minister on Technology Missions related to water, literacy, immunization, oil seeds, telecom, and dairy. He is also the founding Chairman of India's Telecom Commission. Sam also started several businesses and has written a book, "Dreaming Big: My Journey to Connect India."

This program will examine why it is important for employers and workers to understand the distinctions between and limitations on each category and the consequences of improper characterization. Entrepreneur Challenge

Participants simulate running a business in a competitive team environment - setting prices, monitoring cash flow, making operational improvements and planning for growth and profit. They also learn to use financial statements as a tool for measuring results. This 4-hour workshop enhances everyone's ability to communicate, implement and exercise initiative. The business finance learning is thorough, and participants gain a big-picture understanding of business. All while playing a game! They learn because they want to win. *Program requires advance registration and is limited to 36 participants.

Business Plan and Pitch Competition Finals
